Runway-Cute Long Hairstyles
Here are the latest hair-fashion trends, hot from the heads of the runway models appearing in recent fashion shows! So take note, because these are going to be the big trends in cute long hairstyles this year!
Mermaid waves
Fuss-free and casual, the mermaid/beachy wave looks great on same-length and layered long hairstyles. The length should be cut in a long bob, to the shoulders or just a little longer and the waves should look flat, rather than bouncy, and be tousled.
So that’s great news, as you can get this style just by plaiting your damp hair and leaving it to dry overnight!
Soft and chic hairstyle
This look gives soft, face-framing wavy texture that’s full of contemporary-casual chic! Better still, you do not need lots of styling product or to torture your hair with heat styling tools. The ‘over-styled’ look is the opposite of this natural looking wave.
And to ensure your super-cute long hairstyles stay in tip-top condition, consider switching to a paddle brush, for example, Aveda’s Wooden Paddle Brush or similar.
Partings
There are lots of center-partings in the new cute long hairstyles, which only suit women with an oval face-shape. So adjust the parting to just off-center or a full side part to get the best look for you. Partings can be untidy to accentuate the relaxed style.
The models at Topshop Unique had their fringes styled off the forehead to create some attractive finger waves around the temples, giving their long hairstyles a totally up-to-the-minute twist!
Long hairstyle highlighting
For those with dirty blonde, mousey or light brown hair, the trendiest highlights at the moment are mixed caramel and honey highlights. So maybe it’s time to change from the harsh blonde highlights you’ve been having done for years!
On brown hair, copper and gold are hot- as are all shades of caramel – especially two different tones mixed in.
And if you like the ‘summer look’ all-year-round, keep your waves tousled and have an ombré graduated colour done to add a carefree touch.
Off-duty model look
If you’d like your hair to have an off-duty model look, copy the runway models from the Alexander Wang fashion show. They wore center-parted long hairstyles tucked behind the ears, which we’ve often seen on an off-duty Cara Delevingne, too!
Low Ponytails
Jason Wu’s models wore their low ponytails with hair accessories, so hairbands and other hair accessories are definitely back ‘in’.
The new twist on the sleek low ponytail is to make it less severe by tying it loosely at the nape, and pulling down some pretty, wispy strands to soften the line.
And the winner is . . . The Lob!
Long Bobs are set to completely dominate this year’s super-cute long hairstyles, as they were worn by fashion models in all four fashion capitals.
So if you’re as excited about the new hair trends as I am, browse these super-cute long hairstyles and plan your own supermodel style makeover!
